My Outlook App is Not Working Properly

Outlook is a very comfortable email platform that lets you configure your email accounts on it and send and receive emails on the same platform. Sometimes, Outlook might stop working. Follow the quick troubleshooting steps mentioned below to fix the issue my Outlook app is not working.

Solution 1: Resetting the Microsoft Outlook app on your Android mobile

  • On your Android mobile, open the Settings app and tap the Apps button underneath Device.
  • Select All Apps from the drop-down menu and tap Outlook.
  • Select Storage and tap the Clear Data button as well as the Clear Cache button.
  • This will reset the Outlook app to the factory defaults.

Solution 2: Recreating the Outlook profiles on your Windows computer

  • Close the Outlook app on the Windows computer if it is already opened.
  • Click the Start menu at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
  • Type ‘run’ in the search panel and hit the Enter key.
  • Give a double-click on the Run tab to open the Run dialog box.
  • Alternatively, press the Windows + R shortcut keys to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type ‘control panel’ in the text box and click the OK button.
  • In the Control Panel window, click the Category drop-down menu at the top-right corner of the screen.
  • Select the Large Icons option from the drop-down menu and scroll down the page to select the Mail tab.
  • In the Mail Setup-Outlook window, click the Show Profiles button.
  • Select Outlook from the pop-up window and click the Remove button.
  • Click Yes to confirm your action.
  • Click the Apply button followed by OK to close the window.
  • Next, open the Run dialog box again and type ‘outlook.exe’ in the text box.
  • Press the Enter button to launch the Outlook app.
  • In the New Profile window, enter your profile name in the Profile Name field and click OK.
  • In the Add Account window, fill up the necessary details to add your account.
  • Once you have completed the account configuration, check if your Outlook app has been working appropriately. And also the issue my Outlook app is not working is fixed.

Solution 3: Repairing the Outlook app on your Windows computer

  • On your Windows 10 computer, navigate to Windows Settings by pressing the Windows + I shortcut keys.
  • Click on Apps and select the Apps & Features tab from the left-side panel.
  • Select your Outlook app from the displayed list and click the Modify button.
  • If the User Account Control (UAC) window appears on the screen, click the Yes button.
  • Next, click the Online Repair button followed by Repair.
  • After completing the repair process, restart your computer and relaunch the Outlook app.
  • This will fix the Microsoft Outlook app’s problems.
