How To Configure IOS Mail Settings?  

You can set up an email account in the Mail app either automatically or manually. Before adding an email account to the Mail app on your iOS device, ensure that you have a standard Internet connection. Also, make sure that you have updated the iOS device to the latest version. And configure your IOS mail settings.

Adding an email account Automatically in the Mail app:

  • On your iOS device, open the IOS mail settings app and select Passwords & Accounts.
  • Tap the Add Account button and select your email service provider from the displayed list.
  • Enter your name in the Name field.
  • Enter the email address in the Email field and enter the email account password in the Password field. 
  • If necessary, enter a description for your email in the Description field.
  • Tap the Next button and wait until the email settings are verified.
  • Enable the Contacts or Calendars button to select information from the email account and tap the Save button.
  • Now, your email account will be added successfully in the Mail app.
 

Setting up your email account manually in the Mail app:

  • Open Settings and tap on Passwords & Accounts.
  • On the next screen, tap the Add Account button and select Other from the displayed list of email service providers.
  • Tap the Add Mail Account button and choose either IMAP or POP as your account type.
  • Next, enter your name, email address, password, and description in the required fields.
  • Under Incoming Mail Server, enter the incoming mail server name (for example, imap.example.com).
  • Under Outgoing Mail Server, enter the outgoing mail server name (for example, smtp.example.com) and tap Next.
  • Wait for the mail server to verify the configured server settings.
  • Once the email is verified, tap the Next button followed by Save.
