How To Get Kyocera Scan to Email Setup Steps?

Let us see how to configure a Kyocera to scan using a Gmail account.

  • First, you need to get into the Kyocera scan to email setup. For this, you have to know the IP address.
  • Now, log in as the administrator. (Use upper-case. ‘A’ for Admin).
  • Next, after you have logged in, navigate to the left pane of your screen, and select the Function Settings option. Next, go to Email Settings.
  • You should turn on the SMTP Protocol. To do this, click the Protocol option.
  • Scroll down the screen until you see the SMTP option. Click the On option.
  • From the drop-down provided for the SMTP Security field, choose SSL/TLS.
  • Again, scroll down the screen and click the Submit button.
  • On the left pane, select the Email option. Now, make use of the SMTP server of your Gmail account. Under SMTP Server Name, type in your server name.
  • Under SMTP Port Number, enter 465. You have to use 465 because the ports 25 and 587 will not work.
  • Under Authentication Protocol, choose the On option. For the Authentication as field, select Other.
  • Next, type in a valid Gmail account. Type in your password (for the Gmail account).
  • Under Email Send Settings, in the space provided for the Sender Address field, type in the same Gmail account.
  • Once you check all the fields, click the Submit button.
  • On the next screen, click the Test button. You will see the Connection OK message.

You can now go to your Kyocera machine and start sending your emails through the machine.
