How to Find Archived Emails in Gmail

If you archive any message in your Gmail account, it will be unavailable in the inbox. Instead of storing the archived emails in a separate folder, Google moves the archived emails to the All Mail label. You can archive an email from your inbox instead of deleting it. It is because, whenever you wish to restore the archived email, it can be moved back from the All Mail label to the inbox easily.

Carry out these steps to find the archived emails in Gmail:

  • Open the browser and navigate to the Gmail sign-in page.
  • You need to log in to your account using the login credentials (email id and password).
  • If you wish to find a specific archived email, type the keyword in the search panel and locate the email.
  • Select the archived email and click the Move to Inbox button to move it back to your inbox.
  • To find all the archived emails, navigate to the left-side pane and click the More button.
  • Select the All Mail label from the drop-down list to view the archived emails.
  • Select the email to view the contents.
  • Select the box at the left of the email and click the Move to Inbox button to move the email to your inbox.
