  • Step 1:An unstable internet connection can also cause such an issue; therefore, ensure that your computer has a stable internet connection.
  • Step 2:Otherwise, turn off your modem for 15 to 20 seconds and turn it ON.
  • Step 3:Turn off your firewall or antivirus or any other security access, and try to update the application.
  • Step 4:Alternatively, refresh the page by pressing the control key and the R key simultaneously.
  • Step 5:Close all the running windows and restart your computer. Internet glitch can also be a cause for this issue.
  • Step 6:And also, check for any computer update; if there is any, update the device, restart it, and then try updating eM Client.
  • Step 7:You can now launch eM Client on your computer and update the application. If the issue persists, then shift to the following method.

Method 1: Running eM Client Update As An Administrator

  • Step 1:Exit all the running applications on your computer.
  • Step 2:Now, restart your computer.
  • Step 3:Right-click the eM Client shortcut icon on the desktop and navigate to the Properties option from the drop-down list.
  • Step 4:Select the Compatibility tab and ensure to mark on the Run this program as an administrator checkbox followed by the OK button.
  • Step 5:Now, open eM Client on your device and click on the Menu button followed by the Help option from the drop-down menu.
  • Step 6:Find and locate the Check for any Update option—click on the option and check for any update.
  • Step 7:If there is any, choose the Update button and follow the prompted instruction.
  • Step 8:Enter the Administrator’s password if prompted and complete the process.

Method 2: Reinstalling eM Client

If the above method doesn’t work, reinstall the application. Follow the steps to do that:

  • Step 1:Right-click on the eM Client application and choose Uninstall.
  • Step 2:Go to the Microsoft Store, enter eM Client in the search field, and click on the Get Button to download the application.
  • Step 3:The downloading process may take 2 to 3 minutes; wait patiently and complete it.
  • Step 4:Now, press the Windows and I keys simultaneously to open the Settings App.
  • Step 5:In the Settings window, hit on the Apps tab followed by the Default apps.
  • Step 6:Choose the eM Client app from the drop-down list.
  • Step 7:Wait for the installation of eM Client.
