Mail Server Connection Failure in Tally Erp 9 

In Tally.ERP 9, if you face the mail server connection failure in Tally Erp 9 issue, then it might be due to the email request being forwarded to the wrong port. It might also occur if the outgoing e-mail server is blocked by your computer’s firewall.To solve this issue, exclude your Outgoing email server port from your computer’s firewall or allow access to the Outgoing mail server port by adding it to your computer’s firewall.

Steps to add a port to the Windows firewall:

For the Windows 7 computer:

  • Launch the Run command window on your computer by pressing the Windows and R keys together.
  • Type the wf.msc command in the given field.
  • Click the OK button.
  • Now, select Inbound Rules -> New Rules -> Port.
  • Click the Next button to fix the mail server connection failure in Tally Erp 9 error.
  • Now, two suggestions TCP and UDP will be displayed on the screen.
  • Choose one from the suggested list.
  • When prompted, enter the port number in the given field.
  • Select the Domain, Private, or Public profile options as per your desire.
  • Fill the Name and the Description fields.
  • Finally, click the Finish button.
  • Now, check if the Mail server connection failure in Tally.ERP 9 has been solved.
  • If not, enable the SSL option in the Tally.ERP 9’s e-mail settings.

  • To do it, navigate to the Tally application’s Gateway section.
  • Now, select the F12: Configure option.
  • Locate and click the E-Mailing option.
  • Now, the E-Mail Configuration screen will appear.
  • Go to the SSL option and click the toggle button beside it.
  • Click the OK button or press the Ctrl and A buttons on your computer’s keyboard.
  • Now, the SSL option has been enabled successfully in the Tally.ERP 9 application.
  • Check if the mail server connection failure in Tally.ERP 9 is solved.
  • If not, click Call to fix the mail server connection failure in Tally Erp 9 issue.
