How To Fix Oppo Email Server Connection Error? 

A mail or an email server is a computer system that allows you to send and receive emails. The web servers and the mail servers are combined in a single machine for transferring mails. There is also special dedicated hardware that enables you to send and receive emails. Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo use them!. For a device to function as an email software, it must include the mail server software and fix the Oppo email server connection error.

  • The mobile operating systems like Android or iOS will also have the email server programmed it.
  • The mail servers use common protocols such as the IMAP and POP3. The SMTP protocol helps in managing all the outgoing mail requests.
  • The POP3 or IMAP protocols help in receiving the messages used for processing the incoming email.

  • Launch your Oppo android device.
  • Tap the home button on the screen and select the Email application.
  • When the mail application opens, slide the screen to the right to see a list of options.
  • Tap the settings option (gear icon).
  • The Settings will show you a list of email accounts added on the Oppo phone.
  • Tap the required email account.
  • When the phone prompts you to log in, you will see a drop-down list below the password field.
  • Click the drop-down list and select IMAP.
  • Enter the email login credentials to fix the Oppo email server connection error. (the email id and the email password)
  • You will see a list of fields, enter the information accordingly.
  • In the IMAP server settings enter the following information:
  • Enter the imap server name based on the email client.
  • Enter the port number as 143.
  • The Security should be set to None from the drop-down list.

  • Scroll down to the SMTP server settings and enter the SMTP server name and Port number that is important to fix the Oppo email server connection error:
  • The Security type: Set the security type to None.
  • Click the Checkbox that reads as SMTP standalone authentication, to enable the option.
  • Tap the Done button on the top-right corner of the screen.
  • Set the Inbox sync frequency to hourly from the list of options.
  • Tap the Done button on the right side of the screen.
  • When the home screen opens, tap the settings icon.
  • Scroll down to the settings option and tap the Notification & Status bar.
  • Select the Manage notifications option.
  • When the Manage notifications screen opens, you will see the list of applications that are on the phone.
  • Scroll down and tap the Email option, and make sure the Notifications are turned on for email.
  • Reconfiguring the server settings will resolve the Oppo email server connection error.
