How To Fix Protonmail Issues?

Unable to sign in to ProtonMail using Safari:

Before you use the Safari web browser to sign in, check if it is set to Private Mode it help to fix the Protonmail issues.

If so, disable or change it to some other mode.

Note 1: ProtonMail does not work with Safari’s Private mode.

Note 2: Usually, in some Mac computers, the Safari browser is set to Private mode by default.

Web Browser is causing the issue:

  • If your current web browser is blocking you from signing in, then first check if it is up-to-date.
  • If not, update your current web browser and then try to sign in.
  • Otherwise, try another web browser to sign in.
  • If you encounter the ProtonMail account login problem again after updating or changing the web browser, then try some of the quick steps mentioned below to fix the Protonmail issues.
  • First, clear all the cache and cookies data of your web browser.
  • After clearing the cache data, restart the web browser.
  • Now, try to sign in.
  • If the sign in issues persists, then disable your web browser’s extensions.
  • During the login process, make sure to enter the username and password of your ProtonMail account correctly.
  • If the ProtonMail account login issue persists, then try different platforms to sign in.
  • Try to sign in to your ProtonMail account from your iOS or Android device using the ProtonMail Mobile application.
  • If you encounter any issue with the ProntonMail Mobile application, perform the troubleshooting instructions given below.
  • Close and relaunch the ProtonMail Mobile app on your hand-held device.
  • If the issue persists, go to the mobile application’s Settings section and clear all cache data.
  • After that, check if the issue is resolved.
  • If not, uninstall and reinstall the ProtonMail Mobile application on your device.
