Fix The Issue Apple CarPlay Not Working  

Apple’s CarPlay feature lets you control your iOS applications using Siri voice control. This feature was specially designed for driving scenarios. You can configure and use this application with your Car’s controls like knobs, buttons, touchpad, or touchscreen. But, sometimes facing issue Apple CarPlay not working.

  • First of all, check if your place of residence or country supports the CarPlay feature.
  • Second, check if your car supports CarPlay. You can verify it from your Car manufacturer.
  • Check if your iOS device is running on the latest OS.
  • If not, update your iOS device to the latest version and check if the issue Apple CarPlay not working is resolved.
  • If you encounter this issue even after updating your iOS device, check your connection.
  • For the Wired connection users: Unplug and reconnect the USB cable. If the USB cable has been damaged, then replace it with a new one.
  • For the Wireless connection users: Check if the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth options are enabled on your iOS device.
  • If not, enable them and then check if the Apple's CarPlay not working issue has been resolved.
  • If the CarPlay feature doesn’t activate automatically, tap the CarPlay logo on your Car’s display.
  • If the issue remains unresolved, restart your Car and the iPhone.
  • Make sure that the Siri feature is enabled.
  • Check if the CarPlay feature is disabled on your iPhone.
  • If yes, enable it by following the instructions given below.
  • On your iPhone, navigate to the Settings section.
  • Select Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > CarPlay.
  • Now, check if the issue is resolved.
  • If not, remove and re-add your Car.
  • To do it, go to your iPhone’s Settings section.
  • Select the General option followed by CarPlay.
  • Choose your Car from the list.
  • Tap the Forgot This Car option.
  • Now, re-add your Car and then check if the issue is resolved.
  • Make sure that CarPlay Stereo’s firmware is up-to-date.
  • If not, update it.
