- Step 1:If any user account is logged in with Thunderbird running in the background, the update error may occur.
- Step 2:Check whether any other users have logged in to your computer. In such a case, you have to restart your computer.
- Step 3:When the computer reboots, open the Thunderbird application.
- Step 4:Click the Help menu and select the Check for Updates option from the displayed list.
- Step 5:If you are unable to update Thunderbird, check the Internet connection.
- Step 6:Make sure that you have a network connection that is fast enough to update Thunderbird.
- Step 7:If there are any issues with the network, connect your device to a mobile hotspot network.
- Step 8:Now, open Thunderbird and check if the Thunderbird update problems is resolved.
- Step 9:If the update issue is still not resolved, then you can manually end the Thunderbird process from Task Manager.
- Step 10:Press the Ctrl+Shit+Esc buttons together to launch the Task Manager window.
