Issue: Iphone Email Not Syncing with Exchange

Exchange server is a good option to sync your Outlook data. If you are getting syncing issues with the Exchange account configured on your iPhone, follow the below-mentioned troubleshooting steps to fix iPhone email not syncing with Exchange server issue.

Method 1: Checking the basic settings

  • On your iPhone, turn off and turn on the cellular data.
  • If you have connected your iPhone to the local wireless network, restart your Wi-Fi router and reconnect your iPhone to the same wireless network.
  • Check whether you have a standard Internet connection.
  • If necessary, open the Settings app by touching the Settings icon on the home screen.
  • Tap the Airplane mode button and toggle off the button if it has been set to On.
  • Verify whether the Airplane mode is set to off.
  • Open Settings and tap on ‘Mail, Calendar, Contacts’ tab.
  • Select your email account and check whether you have turned on the Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes buttons.
  • Now, check if the iPhone email not syncing with Exchange server issue has been resolved.

Method 2: Update your iPhone

  • Open the Settings app first.
  • Turn on Wi-Fi and connect to the local wireless network.
  • Make sure that you have a stable Internet connection.
  • Next, tap the General button in the Settings window and select the Software Update option.
  • Tap the Download and Install button if any software update is available.
  • Tap the Update Now button to proceed with the installation.
  • Once you have updated your iPhone to the latest version, restart it.
  • Launch the Mail app and check if you can sync your email account with the Exchange server.

Method 3: Reset your network settings

  • Resetting your network settings will reset the Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN & APN settings configured on your iPhone.
  • Launch the Settings app by touching the Settings icon on your iPhone home screen.
  • Tap the General button and select Reset.
  • Tap on Reset Network Settings and follow the on-screen prompts to reset your network settings.
  • Once completed, restart your iPhone and check if the problem with email sync has been resolved.
  • If the iPhone email not syncing with Exchange server problem persists, remove and re-add your email account.
