Solved: Outlook 365 Delay Delivery Not Working

If the Outlook 365 delay delivery feature is not working, then scroll down this page to know the causes for the issue and the steps to resolve it. Usually, the delay delivery feature of Outlook 365 doesn’t work if the Cached Exchange Mode option is enabled. This issue also occurs when Outlook 365’s scheduled time is configured correctly. To resolve this Outlook 365 delay delivery not working issue, disable the Cached Exchange Mode option on your Outlook 365 account. Follow the below instructions to do it.

For The Latest Version Of Outlook 365

  • Launch the latest version of Outlook 365 installed on your computer.
  • Click on the File menu.
  • Select the Account Settings option followed by Account Settings. In the Account Settings dialog box, click on the Change option.
  • Now, go to the Offline Settings section of the Change dialog box.
  • Uncheck the box beside the Use Cached Exchange Mode or Use Cached Exchange Mode to download email to an Outlook data file option. 
  • Click the Next button.
  • Restart the Outlook application.

For Outlook 2010

  • On the main screen of the Outlook 2010 application, click on the File menu.
  • Select Account Settings > Account Settings > E-mail.
  • Click on the Exchange account option followed by Change.
  • Navigate to the Microsoft Exchange Server section.
  • Deselect the Use Cached Exchange Mode option if it is selected and click OK. 
  • If prompted, restart the Outlook 2010 application.
  • Now, check if the delay delivery feature is working on your Outlook 365 account. If not, repair Office 365 on your computer.
  • Open the Apps & Features screen.
  • Choose the Office 365 app.
  • Click on the Modify/Repair option.
  • Now, the repair process will be initiated.
