How To Fix Outlook Not Connecting to Exchange Issue?

Solution 1:

  • If the Outlook application is offline, there is a chance for this error to occur. To resolve this issue, bring the Outlook application online. To do so, perform the instructions given below.
  • Open the Outlook application and go to its menu section.
  • Click and disable the checkbox beside the Work Offline option if it is checked.
  • Now, check Outlook is able to connect to Exchange.

Solution 2:

  • You can know the status of the email account configured in Outlook to find out if there is any issue in it. Carry out the following steps given here.
  • Open the Outlook application on your computer.
  • Go to the Tools menu and click the Accounts option.
  • Now, the accounts that are configured on the Outlook application will be listed.
  • Locate the account in which you are encountering the connectivity issue. If you see an orange indicator beside your email account, then there is a problem. 
  • If you’re encountering this issue with your account for the first time, then try to connect to it from another Exchange application. 
  • Check if the Outlook not connecting to exchange issue is resolved. If not, restart the Outlook application.

Solution 3: Restart the Outlook app

  • Close the Outlook application completely.
  • Wait for a few minutes.
  • After a few seconds or minutes, open the Outlook application and try to connect to the Exchange server.
  • If you encounter the same issue, restart your computer.
